A little late but following the planned series of get togethers, meets, trips and monthly events for HHAD members we can now announce the second beach meet.
It will be another family friendly beach social event at a local restaurant in Khao Takiab.
Event: HHAD beach happening II
Date: Saturday September 29th 2007
Time: 2pm on
Venue: "Jack's" beach restaurant
Activities: Social, food, drink, beach games
The restaurant is on the beach (right hand side) at the end of the soi between Anantasila and Takiab Beach Hotel (the bright orange one).

The idea is to get to know each other and meet up, do something different for those that live here, relax and generally have a good afternoon.

When we were there last we went to the very last soi, turned left and parked along a wall, I think the wall to the military land. There was a good Thai restaurant on the beach there, the very last one. Seemed very popular with the Thai's as only me and 1 other farang the three times we went. Very relaxing and the beach not so crowded at that end.
A lot of dog fights though, one almost fatal to the poor hound who came south too far on the beach.
A pack came out of the soi I was parked on and almost devoured him. One of the Thai's on a horse broke it up and carried the injured dog back north again. My little one at age 16 months then got her first dip in the ocean there, and she still loves it! Pete
