Hi Lomu, hope you've calmed down now. I haven't checked my scores yet although I know I got 20 on the Pompey/scouse-spaniards game. But I did watch the blueboys and I also had my banker on them.

When you wake in the morning, will it cheer you to hear that Chelsea scored a perfect goal, great move, side foot in, only for the linesman to get it all so badly wrong and flag for offside! Having officiated in semi-pro, I truly believe he was looking for forward movement before the ball was played and forgetting that if the player receiving is behind the ball when it is played he is onside - its the best explanation I can give.

Some excellent coverage from Setanta, that I get free, albeit with Scots commentators, proved that it wasn't even close to being offside, nowhere near. So the blues were denied their win and you and I lost our bankers.

The good news for footy fans is that it does appear that this season will be more open than many of the recent past. Should be more testing for IKTS as well! :thumb:

Don't worry, Caller. I've calmed down now - was only messing about.
As an aside, I see that they've reinstated the league of leagues position on our league page. We've managed to climb up to a respectable 95th out of 1,041 teams.

Yeah, my pick process lately takes 45 seconds. With that however, I usually get predictably half right, with W/L, not the points. I keep losing my shirt with the BB, 70 points lost in these first weeks. Pete

Is anyone else having trouble getting on to IKTS?
I managed it earlier this morning, but the opening page simply won't load now other than the opening "sponsored by Bud".
This isn't the first time I've had trouble, in fact it's pretty much every time I've tried since the start of the season.
My internet connection seems to be OK as all other pages I look at load OK. It's just this one. I quite often have to reload 10-15 times before I actually get on - at pretty much any time of day or night.

haven't had any problems signing in at any time of the day in the uk.
maybe other players from different regions of the world (esp thai) can give you a better idea whether it is a website or internet access problem?

Very frustrating. IKTS is down for maintenance but I thought I saw a ticker saying Newcastle lost. If the case, I am a net 0 for the week! Gained 70 points and lost bloody 70 points. I'm going to let my 2 year old sit at the keyboard next and select what she wants. Probably do better. :D Pete

Pete, I don't normally follow these things, but I just had a look and Newcastle lost 1-0 with Derby County.

I believe I have just recorded my lowest weekly score ever, -45. Although I haven't looked. Have to rethink my way of doing things as it ain't working! :(

I've just beat you Caller at my first attempt -50 on my first week. What an asset I must be to the league

Before I make this week's predictions, can somebody please explain Insurance?

If you use the insurance on a game where you got the score wrong, you don't lose any points. Sadly, there's only one. I currently need several!

If you get the score right on the game you have used your insurance on, or the differential, you still get the points.

BTW BB,
It's only the top 10 scorers from our league each week, regardless of their position, that count towards the "league of leagues".
So, we'll expect you to be making a mighty contribution soon as you become more used to things :thumb:
