I don't want to get into this hospital/clinic thing too much, but from personal experiences - one very serious, I would not voluntarily be admitted to any hospital in Hua Hin at this present time. I would ask to be moved to Petchaburi. For anything minor, I would go to the Red Cross clinic or the Polyclinic.

Hi Nadina,
Congrats.
Heard bad stories about Petchaburi hospital and Bunrungrad too, even though it's highly rated.
The best one by far, from our experience (missus had a cesarian), and other experience is Samitivej, soi 49 Sukhumvit Road.
May be a little bit more expensive than the others, but absolutely first class there, all the latest machinery GEC and Siemens, all doctors are qualified from USA, Aus, UK etc, all fluent English. You get seen and treated straight away, hardly any waiting time, or asking you to come back next day/week for scans etc.
And it really wasn't that expensive for what we had, I think they're standard baby delivery is cheaper than Sao Paolo!!
That's the hospital that's going to be sending a team down as part of the new hospital being built here so I'm told.
Good Luck,
Burger

PS:
Anyone had one of those CAT scan jobs, where the nurse injects you with a dye or something and tells you may experience a warm sensation in your body.
After two minutes you feel like your body feels like a kettle coming to the boil, then you think your heads going to explode, 'scanners' style.
Weird, but a great buzz.

Burger,
Yep !! I had Pneumonia combined with a dash of Pleuracy (lots'o'fun) and was put inside the "Big doughnut" and injected with the radio-opaque dye. I can recall explicitly the nurse telling me all of the possible side-effects of the dye, in particular that (she whispered this) you might feel like you've wet yourself ! Well, that combined with headache, nausea, hot-flush, etc, etc had me REALLY calm by now. Add to that my canula had ben in my arm for over 8 hours already and was starting to get plugged up, and might have to me replaced with a (ARRGGGHHH!) Bigger Bore Canula to allow the required amount of dye into me in the required amount of time. They flushed it with a bit more water and it was good. Not a pleaseant experience.... 3 weeks between the Gold Coast and Brisbane Hospitals, in Queensland, Australia. Eventually woke up one day with tubes and crap hanging out of me, and that I was lucky.... they did not have to remove my right lung. F&*^*&^ !!!!!

Petcharat Hospital for sure! My wife has had two kids there and both times the service and care was outstanding. San Paulo on the other hand first wanted to discuss money matters. Not to mention the fact that as I am a farang, the birth would cost more than it would for a couple where mom and dad are both Thai.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
