Thai immigration office?

Post by Name Taken »

Is there a Thai immigration office in Nakhon Ratchasima? If not, where is the closest Thai immigration office located?

prcscct,
Interesting list, I assume from an official Thai site, but it doesn't have the office in Hua Hin listed! :D

You going to make me work for my supper WL? :D ....LOL. The Thai immigration official site is dated 2004 and doesn't list HH either. ThaiVisa is dated 2003 and yet again, no HH. The above is from ethailand.com and wasn't dated so perhaps newer than the other two. No clue why HH is not on any of them? In any event for the OP, neither is Korat which makes sense as not a port of entry, or even a border area/sea coast. Not odd that there are no immigration offices in the middle of a country. I found the below on the 2004 dated official Thai immigration site. Could this be HH? Pete

I seem to remember that the Hua Hin office opened after 2004 but I could be wrong on that. For the OP, from Nakhon Ratchasima, I reckon that the quickest to get to would be in Bangkok; it might not be geographically the closest, but it’s an easy drive or bus journey.

You guys take a look in case I'm missing something. You'll see in the address bar it references "2004", but on the main page there are recent 2007 updates about other immigration subjects. Go to the tab at the top that says "checkpoints". If you find HH, let us know. Pete

I think it is odd that there is not an immigration office in Nakhon Ratchasima. I think there should be an immigration office in Nakhon Ratchasima or Khon Kaen to cover a large area that does not have any immigration office(s).
btw i am posting from a public internet cafe' so i will not be able to respond quickly.

I believe the reason there is no reference to Hua Hin immigration is that it's a satelite office of Singkon who are in Prachuab Kirikhan

No, HH is not to my knowledge. Don't have an answer except to say Pattaya is not a port of entry either and has one. Mataput is not also, but there is one there to accomodate the large quantity of farangs working in the Rayong area.

To find out for sure best to look at the above link and call immigration in Bangkok and ask about Korat. Pete

(a bit off topic)

Do any HHAD members know of any townhomes or apartments for rent in Nakhon Ratchasima that have reliable internet access?

I don't, but here's a link to a Korat forum. Get on there and I'm sure there's some info. Pete
