Japanese in HH

Post by NuggetTNQ »

Hi All. After many holidays to HH i have finally got myself a job running one of the resorts in HH and no i'm not telling which one  We move over in Feb next year
My question is my wife is Japanese and i wondering if there are many Japanese living in HH? For those of you who have had dealings with Japanese you will know they tend to be a close knit community. Gotta keep the wife happy

Mostly golfers on holiday

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Definitely no substantial Japanese community in Hua Hin, but in Bangkok it is really big.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

They can be very 'borg-like'.

Was in Chumpon doing the visa run once...

There were these two cute Japanese girls. Both sat-down at a table, face-flat down sleeping. Think 'r' shape.
As if telepathy was in play they both awoke at precisely the same moment without a word to one another!
Very cool and very very quirky.

A number of Japanese (and Singaporeans) tend to like the North .. probably the climate.

Ive got a mate across the bay in Si Ratcha - theres a big Japanese community there because of the car factories and shipping.....they are all the factory managers I suppose. Lots of Japanese karaoke bars and restaurants. Ko Si Chang is where they hang out at weekends.....I used to like watching some of the older guys practicing Iado in the park in the evening.

Not seen many in HH tho

I ran into a flock of them the other day on Takiab beach. They kept hoiking (bringing up flem) and spitting whilst taking pictures of themselves...

Nugget, there is a small Japanese expat community in HH that I know of. Japanese woman runs a real estate/expat services company.

Attended a few home parties and golf events last year with them.

Don't think I'm allowed to post the web site of a "rival" but PM me if you want details.

Sure they were Japanese? Not one of their usual traits, the flem that is ...
