Bamboo, The boat is a speedboat with a 200 hp Yamaha and he gets some big fish. The accomadation is air/ hot shower/ cable and is comparable to PP villa at the crossroads near beach. The lake has some big catfish, carp, Talapia and some veggy pirhanna. I went fishing there for the first time a week ago. I even managed to catch 4 fish. They will even cook it up for you and bring it to your fishing spot. I,ll certainly be going back, makes for a nice peaceful day

How many persons can comfortably fish at any given time? How many can the boat accomodate comfortably? Sorry, if I ask so many questions but these are important matters as I work in tourism industry. Where is the boat docked in HH/Chumphon? Any webpages? You can send the web page address to my by pm as well.

BG, the boat I would say take 4 comforably 6 at a push. Its licensed for 14 passengers but with rods and takle etc it would be too much with any more. Its moored in Chumphon and the fishing sites are around25-35 minutes sail. No webpage as yet but hes workingon some flyers so will get some to you when they arrive. Cheers Duncan

fishing trips

you can hire a fishing boat next to dolphin bay for 1,000 baht a day, always guarented a big bucket of fish and you also get to see the beautiful islands around samroiyed.

I always use locals for fishing trips more fun than getting ripped off by the farang tour boats. and guarented a catch.

Is it one of these wooden boats? How many people can go in each boat? Is fishing equipment for hire? Do you take the boat alone or with a Thai?

the boats are wooden squid boats with a captain,4 people is enough, need to take your own rods.

kao takiab you can get boat with crew, equipment, cook fish on board 4,000 baht just ask around the crab shops.
