I'm afraid I don't know of anywhere myself but there must be places here. However vacuum cleaners are relatively cheap new (try HomePro, Big Kiang (almost opposite Market Village) or Pure Electric part of the Index Living mall) and are probably less likely to blow up in your face! I think you can get an OK name brand one for about 2000 - 3000 baht, and they are often giveaways when you buy something like a refrigerator.

Have you tried the big market next to the Golf Driving Range? They seem to do quite a selection of electrical goods at competitive prices. My daughter often buys electrical equipment there. Having said that, I've never noticed vacuum cleaners, but I've never looked for them either.
