Richard

I would suggest thinking of a number, possibly mulled over a couple of beers (not more) the sleeping on it, subtracting a couple of thousand next morning then asking a 'reliable' songtaew driver if he fancies a day at the Seaside all expenses paid?

Sumat like that any road

richard,

I would have suggested something similar. Your lady must know a man with a van somewhere in your village. Cover the cost of his fuel, and a bit extra on top for his trouble - its always worked for me in the past.

Of course, the unknown quantity is the bit extra on top - just work out what 2 days work would normally attract, and then you should be able to make a very attractive offer that won't break the bank (maybe offer 5 times what he could normally earn).

The Post Office arranges the transfer of motor bikes all over the country at little cost eg Bht1,500 from Pattaya to Hua Hin.

Richard, can you not put it on the train and ship it to BKK and then ride it down from there. I would imagine that would be the cheapest.

Richard, had to do the same thing in the other directon a few months ago (Hua Hin to about 70km North East of Khon Kaen...what village by the way?) Had to hire a guy and his pickup...not much change from 5000B.
PET is right that the post office will do the job for under 2K...I found that out too late :-)
