Loong Tuck Helps with Property Disputes

Post by huahinsimon »

Just read through Loong Tuck's third edition of 'HotlineHuaHin" and noted that unlike the other rag, HHToday, and other property magazines covering this area, Big Chilli, Hua Hin/Cha Am Observer, Hot-Properties, all is not well on the property front in His Majesty the King's Paradise City. Unlike earlier issues, which only mentioned complaints against foreign developers in the generic, February's issue actually names two developers by name and sets out the complaints by publishing letters by the complainers. All interested in the property market in HuaHin should definately read this newspaper. Finally a media publication has appeared with the backbone to name the names of alleged miscreant developer/builders. Since these published complaints and accusations are already in the public arena, it should be OK for HHAD members to comment, (Or am I wrong.) They may also wish to get their stories into Loong Tuck so more of the problems in this area can be made known and those accused given the chance to vindicate themselves.

[ Specifics edited : its against HHAD T&C regardless of what others decide to publish ]

Previous threads of complaints naming developer/builders have been stopped because of threats of legal action against HHAD. Let's hope Hotline HuaHin has opened the door to a more balanced presentation of propery in the Hua Hin area and that the other publications will present a balanced, dare I say "realistic" view of the property market in Hua Hin.

Simon, before this continues you must be made aware of the bias involved here, the person claiming to be assisting with property disputes is in fact "sponsored" by one of the largest developers in town who has his own share of problems as I know you're aware. The developer also happens to own another "newspaper" to which the aforementioned and his cohorts used to contribute, his "assistance" therefore is probably very selective.

He has simply gone into partnership with a local Indian company to run his own shoutbox publication which from my impressions is no better or worse that the other ones you just belittled, this move follows the collapse of the Hua Hin Mirror for "political reasons".

Additionally Hot properties and Hotline are both run by the same Indian company.

You do the math - all is not what it seems in our fair town.

PS: I'll probably also get sued for this so expect it to get edited very soon!

huahinsimon,
Since when has the Observer been a 'property magazine'? Or The Big Chilli for that matter?

That's the Big Chilli Hua Hin/Cha Am version, I thought I made it clear.

I call them property mags, since a substantial portion of those publications are dedicated to property, mostly advertizing. Do you remember when the Observer tried a separate section called: Bricks and Mortar? OK, I'll back off on the Observer, just counted the pages and much less spaced dedicated to property than in former times.

But the rason d'etre for Big Chilli Hua Hin is property, count the pages.

No, all variations of the domain are parked at GoDaddy, besides if it competes with HHAD I doubt the link will be permitted here.

On first glances it seems very similar to HH Today - plenty of tessabahn meetings and lots of do gooder developers (select ones only) and very little news.

I would like to make it very clear that Hot Property Hua Hin is in no way linked to any of the publications or companies mentioned in this thread.

Thanks,

All of my posts in HHAD are with no bias. I hate everybody and -thing equally.
