Superstitions

Post by richard »

ANYBODY GOT A CLUE ABOUT THIS ONE!!!!

Over the year I've been here in HH and the Wifes village 70kms northeast of Khon Kaen, I figure I've learn't a lot about their customs and superstitions but this one I've never seen, heard of or experienced before.

When asking why I get the usual 'It's good luck'

Tonight after eating and showering the wife watched her 'Thai soap' and I was on my laptop watching a movie, skyping and HHADing.

She came over with a bowl of water and high Waied me whilst prone on the floor. She then washed my left foot anf left hand in the water. She then asked me to dribble the water over her head whilst still in the Wai mode on the floor.

How about the head being untouchable and the feet being the despicable part of the body?

IM BAFFLED!!!!!

Going to try Google in a minute and then get the book out called 'A history of Thailand' by Chris Baker and Pasuk Phongpaichit

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
