Anyone know how much I will pay for a set in Hua Hin?
I use D'addario custom lights and prefer to use the phosphor bronze ones but am I simply better off ordering them here in the UK to bring over?
Internet prices here in the UK are about £5 for a set of 6 strings if bought in bundle packs of 3 sets.

I get mine from the top floor in the Hua Hin shopping mall, can get Gibbys bronze extra light for acoustic and electric, cost as above.

Cheers fella - I appreciate that. I think what I'm going to do is take a couple of sets with me when I go back to HH at the end of March as they are tiny in the suitcase after all and then check out the shops the boys above mentioned. At 300 baht a set they are about the same price as the ones I use (maybe a bit more given the current exchange rate).
Cheers anyway!

Both my son and my son-in-law tend to use the shop on the left hand side as you go from Khao Takiab to Hua Hin. Not sure of the precise location, but I think its somewhere very close to the big massage parlour that seems to be frequented by coachloads of Japanese.
My son-in-law wouldn't use the place unless things were competetively priced, and I know that my son has been very pleased with the bits and bobs he has got there.

Must confess I haven't been for a while but they used to stock all kinds of strings which I found strange for a place dominated by tight fitting swim wear and the largest selection of buggies (strollers) this side of bangkok.sandman67 wrote:The tip about the top floor of the shopping mall is good....they do have a selection of strings for guitars..
..but only crappy bass strings
