I'd like to buy a string of white lights, the kind you see at nearly every restaurant and bar, and even the tesseban. Neither Tesco nor HomePro have them. Any idea where I can buy them now, or do I have to wait til next December? Thanks in advance.

If you go along the railway line coming from the station, there's an electrical appliance store on the right corner just before you turn left over the railway line to go to G supermarket.
They sell white or multicoloured 10 m lengths of fairy lights, including the waterproof version enclosed in a plastic tube (THB 800 last time we got them).
We use them on our big boat and have found them very reliable.
If they don't have them in stock, they'll order them for you.
