It hasn't been mentioned, but if you have a friend or relative who can get your mail, they can take the bills to any 7-11 and pay both at the same time.
Might be easier to set up than any other way.
I've tried to get set up online with K-Bank and they will only do it in Thai. Also don't know if your bank will do bill-pay.....you could give it a shot.
My Sister in law has complained to Siam Bank. Initially they said it was not their fault.
They have now apologised and said it SHOULD be ok next month.
Norseman, It might have been easy for you but certainly not for me.
Don't pay electric and they will cut you off quickly. As far as I know they give you a few days during which time you only pay a penalty but then they cut if no payment is made. When we were renting in Takiap we used to pay to Baan Thai and on one occasion they never paid so our electric was cut off. This was done simply by a chap coming around and disconnecting the wires. Not knowing what was going on, we spoke to the staff at Baan Thai who in turn sent one of their staff around to connect it all back up again. The next morning the electric people came and removed the meter but they did come and fit it back again the same day. The unlucky thing was, until then our electric had never been more than 200 baht so I presume the meter had been faulty.
Last month I was given order by the wife to stop and pay the electric bill which I ended up forgetting to do and a few days later, she called to say thanks very much because we had been disconnected. Of course we paid right away and within a few hours it was back on again.
As for water - not a problem were we stay in Bo Fai as it is very rare that we even get water. Luck if the council supply is on one day a month.
Our neighbours have thier bills paid through the bank when they're in Denmark and so far they have not had any problems.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
