IN my experience the only 'normal' people in Hua Hin are the Thais, and of course myself.

Digger

So very true about the SAS
RICHARD OF LOXLEY

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

bonnielass I like the biscuit bit.

It's true through the means of internet one can make up stories until one runs out of ideas.

Another thought for this subject is that most of us have been born outside LOS and therefore have no roots whatsover here. I compare that with cutting of the grass, the roots stay and the top will be thrown away.

When I was active in Hongkong and Singapore they called me Expat. Now I do not know how to call myself. One thing I know it feels good to be here in HH.

Happy day....

A fine observation there. This happens to be the case all over Thailand. Having said that, there are what you would call 'normal' or 'regular' people around, just have to search for them. It is worth mentioning that there are a lot of people 'running' from something which like lurking around and certain countries are better for hiding than others (Thailand being one of the top runners destinations). I have been in Thailand 6 years and come across a few good people but a lot of bull....ers. Don't worry, it's not you, they just don't lock up the psychos here.
