scales
Try chatting to a local jeweller they may be able to help
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.
Hi Sandman,
You will have to go to BKK to buy scales. They sell them in Central Silom Road and also the Jewellery Supply shops in Mahesak Road which is the road between Silom and Surasak opposite the Holiday Inn. The Tanita Digital scales are the best mobile scales. From memory the ct scales are around 5/6 thousand Baht. Gram scales are cheaper but are not accurate enough.
As your friend does not have scales I would presume he is not in the business. I would strongly advise against his course of action. I am in the business and frequently have to tell people that the stones they have bought cheaply in Thailand or India are either not worth anything like they have paid or are fake.
Cheers
