And if a Thai marries a falang and changes her name she can not own land
that used to be the case, but was changed:

Section 98 of Land Code:
Any Thai having an alien spouse may purchase or accept land as a gift with no consideration and register the ownership of such land during marriage, under a condition that the spouse must jointly provide a written legal confirmation stating that the entire source of funds for such purchase or gift is solely from the "Personal Property" (as defined by Thai laws).

Thanks Super Joe , things keep changing all the time , but can she lease any land to me or that other thingy. If the longer leasing comes in it mite be worth an argument to do it. :)

currently lease not at hua hin land office, other thingy yes
they'll have to start doing lease again if it changes
