Be careful out there

Post by Cowtown Comedy »

A friend of mine (farang male 50 odd) was attacked by three thai males near the Paemai driving range last week. He was sober, and walking home at 2am, when a motorbike came up behind him. As he started to turn around they struck him with a beer bottle. He assumed they were aiming for his head , but hit his shoulder. They went past him, u-turned and came back towards him, this time swinging a long stick at him. They hit his forearm causing a serious laceration requiring several stitches. The motorbike drove away and he was able to get help from some locals who took him to the hospital.

Please be careful out there...maybe not as safe as we sometimes assume.

Strange story, any motives for this? Did they attempt to rob him?
Sometimes violence in los is senseless and with no apparent reason. That's sad to hear that Hua Hin is increasingly becoming a violent place.

that area has a lot of late bars etc, you often see a lot of wasted youngsters acting up.
probably an unprovoked act and they probably thought it was funny. nasty i'm sure if you're on the wrong end of it.

it's an area to watch out for, also the road running parallel with the railway line (town side) from the crossing, past kims cafe, down to soi 80

Stay relatively safe, go to soi SpendaBaht, and environs, dont get waisted, don't close the bar, be careful of freelancers-probably not a good idea to save 300b barfine.
