So long the Thais in the north and northeast are thinking it's worth to vote for these "dinosaurs" nothing will change.

I think that unless a political party comes along that is serious about changing the lot of those in the North/North East nothing will change.

And nothing will change for a while yet, as its in the interests of those on top of the pile to retain the status quo.

Interesting article though and one that demonstrates the way, slowly, change is happening, just as it has elsewhere in the world.
