I am predicting Holland as I think they have the best mix in their squad.
No, Republic of Ireland have the best mix

But as they're not in it, Portugal.

First England - Tis a sad state of affairs indeed Simon. After all England invented World Soccer-Ball, but have now been left behind.
To be fair England were unlucky this Euroleague Championship World-Series because whilst we finished a respectable 5th in the East conference qualification group, it is because the fact that our new manager Tony Soprano is from Sicily, and ofcourse Turkey are already in the tournament. Plus they have the same away shirts as Plymouth.

Second Scotland- This is a lot simpler, Scotland have never wanted to qualify for a major tournament. They would argue what would be the point, you'd have to spend on train tickets, guest houses, ralgex and stuff.

Lastly Ireland - Unfortunately there was only 1 place mathematically left coming into the last quarter, and as they are actually two teams, you can't fit a B52 glass in a camel.

Wow what an exciting Footie Match!

I didn't mean the Romainia vs. France boredom at it's finest, I really meant the Holland vs. Italy Matchup which was really electrifiing. The Netherlands had rudely woke up them Italy and reminded him that they are not invincible. What three specatcular Goals The Holland Team has. The first shot of Van Nistelrooy was really contrevercial but never the less The Ref. count it. Wesley Sneyders Goal from that Angle Boa so freaken Cool to shoot from this very tight. Angle.
But don't cut the Italians out yet I they few suprises upt their sleeves. Beeting Romainian and than draw with France and the again back in business.

I thought Italy were one paced and unimaginative, and several players looked shadows of themselves. However credit must be given to the Dutch - they looked hungrier, chased everything down and really could have scored more - they looked dangerous every time they went forward. I was pretty certain that RVN's opening goal was offside but the replays that we were shown in Thailand were inconclusive because of the angle. It makes Italy's next game absolutely vital, but Romania will make it difficult and I can visualise some red cards in that game. As for the other game zzzzzzzzzz. Why Anelka was left on the pitch for so long baffles me, but that also goes for Benzema and Malouda, and Makalele was lucky to remain on the pitch after a number of nasty fouls. I have to assume Henry wasn't fit enough, and they looked a bit toothless up front. Romania got what they wanted with a point but that will probably be all they get.

Although unfortunately I did not see the game due to power failure in Krabi from (I do not make this up) 01.55 to 03.40 of course the Van Nistelrooy goal was widely discussed in the Dutch press. "No offside", the chairman of the Dutch referees association explained: Panucci was lying behind the goal line and deliberately stayed put when he saw that would lead to Van Nistelrooy being in offside position. That is not allowed. The rules says that in such situation this defender must be considered as being on the field. (Also stepping over your own goal line in order to create on offside situation is not allowed).
So I must compliment the Swedish referee Mr. Frojdfeldt for his detailed knowledge of the rules! Well done.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

Im sure they've got a list of rules for offside thats bigger than the Bible just so they have an excuse for every possibility.

For an Attacker you are only offside if you are active in the move but a Defender can be on his arse off the field and still be playing someone onside. ????? :? :? :? :?

A load of Bollocks if you ask me.
