Just a quick question.
Are Thai wives allowed to accompany their husbands into the hallowed grounds if the husband has consular business?
This question has nothing to do with a Thai person getting a visa.

theres y simple answer..... its because after 25 years of domestic terrorism we can tell the difference between a bomb happy nut and an over nagging missus.....
The complex answer involves consensually approved third parties under UK law, which as you are on Brit turf applies.
while you are there remind them, once you have completed business, (if they piss you off), that they earn less than a London Tube train driver...... and in four years or less will be back in London...... whereas you will still be here.......

Having visited there twice in the past two days, I have to say that The Embassy were very efficient, even if the cost of a four paragraph letter confirming income was a bit severe.
Got the 5am minibus from HH and was out of The Embassy at 8.30am. As said, my Thai wife had no problem getting in there. I just made it plain that I was there for consular business, not a visa for my wife.
I now hope the letter works for my extension - but that's another story.
And BTW, as per Guess's post, I can confirm that emails to The Embassy have been answered within about two hours.
