I am a great admirer of Andre Rieu. him and the Johann Strauss orchestra have given me many hours of pleasure, he can make me laugh, admire and bring a lump to my throat.
The first one Il Silenzio is performed by a 13 year old girl, very moving performance by someone so young, brought a lump to my throat.
The second one, The Third Man made me laugh, the orchestra obviously enjoy the freedom and comedy, the audience loved it.
The third one You Raise Me Up, features Andre and his Stradivarius violin is magnificent, the tones on his violin are amazing, He makes that violin sing.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

To me the 80's was a bit of a musical wasteland with the rise of the Stock, Aitken and Waterman crap. I did quite like the early New Romantics scene with the likes of Steve Strange's Visage, OMD and A Flock Of Seagulls.

I recently came across this version of Space Age Love Song (With the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra).

A lot of the music I like to download is not available at my usual sites. MP3 Juices is a great free site(No registration). They basically convert a You Tube vid into MP3 format and download directly to your hard drive. If you decide to use it check the song first to make sure it's not some crappy recording from a live performance.

The Last Waltz is my favourite music documentary / concert video.

Mine too. Now, we'd better stop this conversation before we're censored and relegated to the "back to topic" prison. :tsk:

The best album to come out of the pandemic for me is the latest Bruce Springsteen Album - Letter to you

Outstanding album, well worth a listen.

That's one of the best videos they've done.

Playing For Change has dozens of videos including a documentary on how they make them.

"Robbie Robertson is looking really good for his age."

I suppose that could apply to any age.

At what age does one stop looking good? I need to know as I may have passed that age and I can't rely on my wife or friends for an honest opinion.

Nice, but prefer the original.

Some jazz for me, with the late Tomasz Stanko, a pioneer of 'free jazz'. His album, 'Suspended Night' is an all time favourite of mine.
