1) Name our four famous mustaches.
2) What links these four gentlemen other than the fact they are all military types with big face hair?
3) Arrange them in the correct historical order
4) Which of them is the odd man out and why? Several possible answers here.....

Tally Ho troops and the last man in the German trench is a mincing nancy!

I suspect the Charge of the Light Brigade might feature, but I haven't got the time to look right now. Famous military slaughters.

well at the end of the round its hats off to Team HHADs collaborative effort

The four moustache petes are

Lord Chelmsford - Battle of Isandlwana - Anglo Zulu War
Lord Cardigan - Charge of the Light Brigade - Crimean War
Douglas Haig - Battle of the Somme - WW1
George Custer - Little Big Horn/Custers Last Stand - Indian Wars.

And the theme that links them is, as spotted, great military blunders and slaughters.

In order they run Cardigan, Custer, Chelmsford, Haig

The odd man out is as spotted Custer, as he is a yank, and he actually died in the combat cockup he is famous for leading. Chelmsford absented himself from the battle, Cardigan survived the charge, and Haig never went anywhere near the front lines he sent tens of thousands of men over to their deaths.

Hats off troops and jolly well done those men!
