I think it is the same all over HH. The overnight stuff wasn't too bad, but at about 9am (Soi 88 anyway), it just came down for about 30-45 minutes. Drains and pipes that were coping just failed. Large amounts of run off water and flooding. Don't remember such a sudden surge, almost flash flood type.stuff, in my 12 years plus

OK, I had no intention of doing yet another 'Dashcam Flood Video' when I set out to do my 90 day report, but Soi Mae Kep 5 amazed me - I've never seen flooding there before. I wonder if it's anything to do with the development taking place on the East side of the road? Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Nereus, I think it was you asking where the Circle was. If you look from about 4:00, you'll see me sailing up and mooring alongside what has to be the world's largest 20 Baht shop just inside the entrance to the Circle.

Hmm, thanks very much, but the tape ends at 4.45! :?

Not good for many of the smaller cars driving around in water like that. Ingress into wheel bearings and brake pads can lead to early and dangerous failures.

This afternoon I'm hoping to drive a sedan to Thap Tai up soi 112. Is the road passable? There's a flood at the mini roundabout? With thanks.

Those are puddles - you want to see the carnage down here in Bangsaphan ...

Yep, getting walloped again down here.

It must be getting worrying for you guys down South. What was a once every 20 year event now happens once or twice each year.

I've seen it much worse here than now and most of the floods drain away quite quickly unlike a few years ago.

I agree, the authorities have done a phenomenal job with drains. Just need to learn how to keep them unblocked now. :D
