Only if you have STARZPLAY (an extra £5 per month), according to my Amazon UK setup. But either way, it's worth a look.

EDIT: Jack Bannon as a young Michael Caine Alfred is very good.

Very confusing quite frankly - many searches with "HDPrime" gave Amazon Prime, Starzplay etc. as top results - zip to do with Expat TV..... Did a few searches including "Expat TV", and saw the following however: -HHTel wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 6:19 am HDPrime is the 'successor' to Expat TV. TV, Movies and Series are part and parcel of the package. Not sure where the content is sourced from but certainly is independent of Amazon, Netflix, Sky and anything else that comes to mind.
Because of the time difference between here and the UK, my daughter uses my account in the UK in the evenings (everyone in bed here). Perfect scenario.
The movies are bang up to date and occasionally beats the release in the cinema.
And I've just noticed that the Pennyworths live in Micklewhite Avenue...dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 1:36 am EDIT: Jack Bannon as a young Michael Caine Alfred is very good.
Just watched it and thought it was pretty good.lindosfan1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 7:58 pm Bloodlands, first episode Sunday on BBC. James Nesbit in a very well produced story about the troubles in Northern Ireland. Link to iplayer below.
This one is superb, lots of science, and very insightful into what actually happened.
Watchmen - you should definitely watch the movie first.dtaai-maai wrote:I seem to be posting rather a lot on this and similar threads, but I consider it a public service. I think I might miss lockdown when it's over...
Anyway, I'm watching WATCHMEN now.
"Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws and must embrace the nostalgia, Detective Angela Abar investigates the reemergence of a white supremacist terrorist group inspired by the long-deceased moral absolutist Rorschach."
"Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own."
Having been brought up on Superman and Batman comics, I like my superheroes (so sue me...), but this is new to me. There's a 2009 film that I haven't seen (downloading now), and I find myself googling the backstory of many of the characters. That's ok, I don't mind a little research in the name of entertainment.
There are 9 episodes in this 1-series show, and I'm still not entirely sure who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. It's a bit weird, but definitely intriguing.
It all makes sense now!dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 8:22 pm ^^Yes, I decided that as I was posting, so I paused the series and am watching the "Ultimate Cut" version of the film. All 3 hours 35 minutes of it!It's daaaaaaaark...
