As bad as it is and as drastic as it appears to be, relaxing the isolation rules too soon will almost certainly result in a much worse scenario
In my opinion, there could be some relaxation of the rules to allow more economic activity without having a huge effect.
Industries where people don't work in close proximity are being slowly restarted here in Europe already, many modern factories don't employ the huge numbers of people that they did in the past.
From what I can see, many infections are happening in hospitals, retirement homes and family groups all of which aren't being stopped by these isolation rules.

Remove it via the ear elastic. "Remove it from behind..." with your fingers that have been touching various things now brushing your face. :banghead:

Understandably really, here where I am in Europe, the average age of fatalities from Covid is way over 80, so is it surprising if a lot of those happened in retirement homes?
Seriously?! *AVERAGE * age way over 80, are you sure about that?

I'm NOT saying you're wrong but I find that staggering

"More than 3,300 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Luxembourg and 67 people have died, the Ministry of Health said late on Tuesday, correcting earlier figures it had released.

Fifteen people were contaminated with the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of infections to 3,307.

The health ministry said on Monday there had been 69 fatalities but on Tuesday said it had miscounted the number of deaths, which stands at 67. One death was counted more than once and it is not clear when the error was made, a spokeswoman for the ministry told the Luxembourg Times. The median age of the deceased is 85."

Cha-cha-cha has just reduced the promised 5 grand to people who have been layed off from 3 months to one month single payment.
That's a fair indication that restrictions are going to be relaxed.

Today's numbers. Hua Hin is looking very good now with just 4 in quarantine, and 4 in hospital.

Can't argue with you there DB. It's going to get worse before it gets better - even contemplating relaxing the isolation now is simply not an option.

Prayut says government has only enough money to pay one month of aid to those affected by coronavirus; Phuket governor reshuffled

The government will consider easing lockdown measures as coronavirus infection numbers continue to fall, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said on Wednesday.

“The number of new confirmed cases is gradually declining in past days and we will use this as an indicator of whether we can ease up on some measures or not,” Prayut said.

“I ask people for more time to consider the possibility [of easing up] since we have to be cautious when the risk is still high,” he said.

Prayut, who also chairs the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said that the decision to ease restrictions will be made a week before the deadline to extend the current State of Emergency on April 26.

He added that if the lockdown is to be lifted, there is a need to come up with measures that makes sure there is no second wave of infections.

As for the 5,000 baht per month cash handout to workers left behind by the outbreak, Prayut said the government currently now have enough budget for the payout in the first month only.

The cost for the scheme is estimated to be around 135 billion baht.

He said the central budget is drying up but the government is already siphoning 10 per cent of every government agency to come up with the money, however, this will not be available until June.

The cabinet has already approved the emergency loan decree worth 1 trillion baht which should be available around the end of April of the beginning of May.

I also agree. Starting to lift restrictions in what was a hot spot seems crazy to me.

Probably, but this could be very false economy.
