Welcome John,

In reality Hua Hin is a great place to live and work, ok the dogs may a bit noisy, the drains may not be the best in the world but when you way up the pros and cons its a no contest, i love living here and have no plans to go back to the UK or anywhere else for that matter. If you want any info on the golf scene let me know. If you want a game while your here be more than happy to oblige.

Hi everyone, my name is Clive and I am new to the forum. Have just read Johns message. Unfortunately John, we have just had a rare experience, rain and everyone in Hua-Hin is really depressed, hence the down beat attitude. Now the sun is out everyone will be happy and soi bintabart will be busy again. Hua-Hin is an excellent place to be wether for a holiday or to live. I hope you all have a great time here.

Howdy

Post by krazee555 »

Just wanting to say Hi to everyone here.
I'm 29/M from NZ, been travelling to Thailand and through Asia for the past 8 years, and living here in Bangkok for 9 months now. I travelled to Pranburee and Hua Hin for the first time last year, and really enjoyed the change of scenery and different feeling from some other beach places. So, I'm looking at moving to Hua Hin this year, I have some questions to ask but am still enjoying reading through the FAQ's! http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/vi ... php?t=1276
Cheers,
Matt

Hi J.W. and Clive.

Thanks for the replies, certainly makes me feel better.
Depression is becoming a way of life here, hence anticipation of H.H.
We booked this hol last November.
We love everything Thai, 1st holiday in Phuket I actually refused to get
on the airport bus to come home.
Would love to play golf J.W. can you make up a four ? Andy and I would
not mind taking you on for a couple of beers (bottles or crates, all the same to us). We will need to hire some Left Handed Clubs. Any ideas ??
Also a day Deep Sea Fishing and Car hire, we would prefer recommendations rather than taking pot luck.
I hope we can at least meet up for a drink.

Sometimes knowledge by having a beer

Post by Robee »

Well guys, I have sat with my laptop looking at all the interesting comments and subjects that have been made over the last few months that I have been looking at this website. It is nice to see that the world is full of interesting people, and a lot like myself and my wife who like to have a drink.

This is my first time on this site. I am Robbie from Wales and my wife's name is Angie. We are holidaying in Hau Hin for a month at the end of 2006. Thank you Lev, for all the exceptional articles on transport and housing that most of us Brits need to find out before we do another visit to Hau Hin.

It is nice to see that this Forum is visited by all parts of the world, and you have some interesting people with a great deal of knowledge for some of us to pick up on. Can someone suggest a few good bars to visit in Hau Hin, as we will be staying in Siam Hills for the first week and then at Dolphin Bay for three weeks - would appreciate any recommendations for an evening tipple and of course a good meal.

All the best for now

Hi, I joined this forum to learn a bit more than the zero I know about HH at the moment. I am not new to LOS, I just haven't got around to visiting HH and after spending March and most of April in Pattaya and Bangkok I need a slower pace for my next trip in August.

So get ready for some really dumb questions if I can't find the info. :D

Warm

Wet

Wonderful

You will have a great time.
Was there June/July last year and it rained most days but only for an hour or two and it freshened up the atmosphere.
Am flying out on 17th June and am staying till July 9th. Am hooked on the place too.

Where is straya ??? :?

hows life?

Post by Shea Brennan »

Quick one to say hi.
Working in Japan right now for a few weeks, and thinking of taking a quick vacation seeing as how I've come this far. Looking at Hua Hin. everywhere I look on the web for advice on HH I find different opinions. On one site its described as really quiet, limited nightlife, family place, weather is poor arond this time of year....etc. Then on the next site, it claims great weather year round and its a party town!
This site looks like I can find out the real story.
Looking for the usuals, sun, sea, booze and good nightlife, doesn't need to be Pattaya, but some nightlife would be good. And of course a few pretty ladies to take my mind of things wouldn't hurt either.
After dark section the one I need?
Thanks
Shea
