Seems to be an incredibly narrow track in places - Hamilton working his way up the order.......

[EDIT] Obviously understand the "street track", but still.....

Rosberg wins, Hamilton has problems, and Vettel is getting closer. Not as bad a race as I anticipated, and Baku adds some flavour and diversity to the schedule. Let's see if it's continued next year.

Bsdk1960 had the best race with 18 points. Here is an example of someone who waited until after qualifying to make picks and won. So, it is possible to forego the early bonus point and qualifying point and come out on top. No one picked Rosberg to have the pole, it appears checking quickly everyone picked Hamilton.

The top 3 are now Parahandy, RZR and Pitsch.

1 - Parahandy 117.50
2 - redzonerocker 113.00
3 ▲1 pitsch 109.00
4 ▼1 mwbrown 108.50
5 ▲2 BigBoy 108.00
6 - lindosfan 106.50
7 ▲1 Terry 106.00
8 ▼3 pharvey 104.50
9 ▲1 JJBones 101.00
10 ▲1 bsdk1960 99.00 (Yellow Cap)
11 ▼2 Vital Spark 97.50
12 - Pete 92.00

Next up is Austria. Good luck to all! (Note: I'm not going to be around for the Austrian or British GP. Please check results yourselves and I'll summarize when back later in July.) :thumb: Pete

Ricciardo excited by Ferrari links

https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport ... inks/#stop

Daniel Ricciardo says he would jump at the chance to join Ferrari as speculation grows about the future of Kimi Raikkonen with the Italian Formula One giants.

Ricciardo is regarded as the best young talents in the sport and has endured a frustrating season with Red Bull with off-track bungling costing the West Australian two race victories this season.
The 26-year-old's contract with Red Bull expiries at the end of next year and he's believed to be top of Ferrari's wish list to replace Raikkonen, with the team yet to decide if they want to keep the veteran Finn for a fourth year.

Now we have the manufacturer of those wonderful tyres dictating how they should be used:

http://www.eurosport.com/formula-1/pire ... tory.shtml

Pirelli has issued Formula 1 teams with recommended maximum stint lengths for each of its tyres compounds for the first time at this weekend's British Grand Prix.

The tyre supplier stressed to teams that they should still base their race strategies around their own wear data, rather than taking the number of laps given by Pirelli as a guarantee of tyre life.

Pirelli has suggested nobody should exceed 26 laps on the hard tyre, 28 laps on the medium, and 15 laps on the soft compound in Sunday's race at Silverstone.
It explained that the medium is predicted to last longer than the hard because the harder compound has experienced some graining this weekend.

"Our advice is not to exceed these numbers during the race," Pirelli added.

Its pre-race prediction for the best strategy is a two-stopper, featuring two 12-lap stints on the soft tyres and a 28-lap stint on the medium.

In last weekend's Austrian Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel suffered a spectacular tyre failure while stretching the life of his first set of tyres, which had completed 29 laps of the Red Bull Ring including mileage from qualifying.
