Not an architect, more of a reformer.

3= Palacio de Lecumberri, formerly a prison in Mexico City, but now a museum of sorts.

The reformer in question is Jeremy Bentham :thumb:

RedZoneRocker completes the trio and finds the link.

Bentham proposed a style of prison called a Panopticon which was designed to allow very few staff watch over a lot of prisoners. It was never taken up in the UK but a number of other prisons where build around his design.

1 - Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin was famous for holding Irish Rebeliion prisoners and being the scene for a number of movies.
2 - Insein Prison in Rangoon (Yangon) was famous for holding Aung San Suu Kyi and other anti-government prisoners.
3 - Palacio de Lucumberri in Mexico City was famous for holding Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa, but not for long as he was one of only two people to escape from the prison.

Well done to all.

Nice Buddha answers D-M
tragically the Hyderabad Lake Buddha, during the statue’s installation in 1992, the figure tipped over and fell into the lake, causing the death of 8 workers.

Gardens?
without googgoogling,
I would say that Jardin 1 is Versailles
garden 2 is Great Windsor Park
garden 2 0r 4 4 is Kew Gardens?

but then I am not a gardener, I prefer nature to have the upper hand in the garden :P
