What.....no comments after last nights matches !!
Jermain Defoe scores a couple as the Spuds defeat London rivals,West Ham 3-1.
Southampton beat a lacklustre Newcastle 2-0 to move out of the relegation places.

Sadly, the two games I watched didnt contain a goal :( but were quite entertaining to watch.
Rafa got a hostile reception at the Bridge and on 16 minutes there was a minutes applause for Di Matteo (16 was Di Matteo's old squad number). But Abramovich wont care.He didnt make his millions by being a nice guy.
City edged the game but all Chelseas defence did an excellent job keeping them at bay.Torres looks a bit of a spent force now.He tried hard but has lost the pace and strength of three years ago due to injury, probably never to return.

Liverpool looked slightly the better side at Swansea whose defence rode its luck at times. But for all Liverpools pretty passing there is no cutting edge and only Suarez looks a likely scorer....Sterling has to be the find of the season,so far, though.
But Baa-Baas disappointment at Liverpool failing to win will be tempered by the fact the Citys draw means that his beloved Manchester United are back on top of the Premiership ! 8)

I thought Spurs looked in excellent form yesterday. A sluggish first half but still managed to rattle the crossbar and get a goal in. The second half we were impressive (or they were poor).

We put in three cracking goals and dominated (albeit a little shaky for 10 minutes at the end) the game. Something we hadn't done at home yet this season. There may be hope just yet. :D

Cracking little player, strong and determined for someone so slight and skillful, seems more intelligent than his years too. I still believe Suso has a higher ceiling though, but I'm not complaining either way!

I'm starting to see why Chelskea fans don't like Rafa. He's a bit like Hodgson, very defensive minded. He shouldn't with Chelskea. Today a goalless home draw with Fulham (mind you, we did a 3-3 draw with them) but Rafa used only two subs, when he still had Mikel and Moses on the bench and Mata was used as a substitute as well. Who does Rafa think will score for Chelskea? We drew 1-1 at Everton but we are getting short of players, yet again.

In fairness BG, we only started the season with two strikers, Torres and Sturridge, and Sturridge is injured. Lukaku was the other option and he was loaned to West Brom. I'm sure we'll buy in January.

We miss Lamps in the middle. Its as simple as that, he makes everything else work. Worries me silly that it looks like he could be leaving with Cole.

From what I have heard of the game, we played well bar the end product. Still time to turn it around.

I said it before on here and I'll say it again - I'd like to see Walcott at the Bridge. Seems like he's been left off the Arsenal Calendar!

Yeah, I can definitely see the comparisons. :lach: They're almost identical.

Benitez had us top scorers in England one year and top scorers in Europe another with over 100 goals, the defensive idiot, a little different to the wet fart that is Hodgson.

He's been in the job a week.

I'm hoping it's a stepping stone to the Real job, Chelsea fans don't deserve him.

What he'll do is make Chelsea hard to beat for a few games while he finds his feet then go from there.

If you could hypothetically give Benitez, Mourinho, Guardiola, Wenger and Fergie the same group of players, like a chess game, Rafa would beat them. He's the best tactical manager going.

He's got weaknesses but coaching isn't one of them.

He'll make you tighter then go from there.

I like Rodgers but before his appointment I wanted Rafa.

Just look at his record, the only reason he still isn't at LFC is we had a Royal Bank of Scotland employee calling the shots because of the takeover/Administration.

Well I didn't manage to get up for the game but it was a nice start to the day reading the report. :D

Bale seemed to be amongst it all again... 1 assist, one goal and an own goal off his nose.
