The Thonburi Health hospitals are asking for upfront payments as deposits which cover the cost of the vaccine. Seems wise.

What would be the procedure for registering with the hospital in Cha Am (and which hospital would it be)?

- I downloaded the "mor prom" on "line" app and, as I couldn't manage it by myself (all in thai), asked a thai friend who filled everything in (btw, even for her, it took 20 minutes!) and we got the appointment
- there is only one hospital in Cha Am

That won't necessarily be an impediment. Lots of countries are looking at the practice known as "heterologous prime-boost" whereby you get a different vaccine for the second dose, as it appears this may well give better protection than two doses of the same vaccine.

Another thing being looked at, even for people having had two doses, is getting a third, booster dose - either of the same vaccine or (especially if the first two were of a vaccine seen as less efficacious) of a different vaccine to what they've previously had, preferably an mRNA vaccine.

So I could see quite a few people still wanting the Moderna vaccine in the future, even if they've already been vaccinated.

The article below talks about the immunological benefits of mixing the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines - various other combinations have shown equally promising results.

OK, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't think that will work for me - I'm already registered on Mor Prom with my appointment at HHH. I was hoping maybe it was a direct registration with the hospital itself, especially seeing as we have no idea when the HHH appointments for July will be honoured. Mine was supposed to be July 6 but now it seems that has been delayed by maybe a month - or possibly more.

He said he went to HHH!!! - There were many vaccines scheduled for today having been rescheduled about 3 times, so it will be key to hearing what happened to them today

I will refrain from using capitals as you did in another thread. How many times do we need to be told about unverified gossip and rumour on a very important thread, it just causes more confusion in an already over informed confusing threads. As it stands from the poster after you HHH was very busy today with people getting vaccinated!!! I'm sure that if HHH have run out of vaccines there will be a post on their FB page.
