NO CRITICISM OF RAFA ALLOWED

why not just give hime the Real, Barca, Liverpool, Inter, Bayern, England, Spain, Brazil jobs rolled into one, he is such a hero surely he can manage them all at onceBaaBaa. wrote:Yeah, I can definitely see the comparisons.Bamboo Grove wrote:I'm starting to see why Chelskea fans don't like Rafa. Benitez had us top scorers in England one year and top scorers in Europe another with over 100 goals, the defensive idiot, a little different to the wet fart that is Hodgson.
He's been in the job a week.
I'm hoping it's a stepping stone to the Real job, Chelsea fans don't deserve him.
What he'll do is make Chelsea hard to beat for a few games while he finds his feet then go from there.
If you could hypothetically give Benitez, Mourinho, Guardiola, Wenger and Fergie the same group of players, like a chess game, Rafa would beat them. He's the best tactical manager going.
He's got weaknesses but coaching isn't one of them.
Nice one. This is the football thread, forgive me for talking eermm football.blue05 wrote:why not just give hime the Real, Barca, Liverpool, Inter, Bayern, England, Spain, Brazil jobs rolled into one, he is such a hero surely he can manage them all at onceBaaBaa. wrote:Yeah, I can definitely see the comparisons.Bamboo Grove wrote:I'm starting to see why Chelskea fans don't like Rafa. Yeah, real modern day conquistadors them three. Or by many did you mean one?blue05 wrote:They have all been succesful and many have made more than one great team.
apart from fergie, the special one and wegner have done not bad either.I think if most football fans were given the choice benitez would not be their firstBaaBaa. wrote:I didn't say he was superior. There is more than one attribute to being a top manager.
I don't particularly rate Fergie highly tactically, doesn't mean I don't rate him as a manager.

Wenger left a real legacy at Nagoya Grampus Eight.
Dunno, it's the 2 mancs and Chelsea nailed on top 3 for me. I think City and Chelsea have the best 2 squads in the league but United just do what they do.Dannie Boy wrote:You have to hand it to Benitez regarding confidence in his own abilities, as quoted by the BBC:

I'm sure 'Arry has a better chance of keeping QPR in the Premiership than Chelsea finishing above the two Manchester clubs.
Benitez isn't rated outside Liverpool and Valencia, (his Valencia side with Pablo Aimar and Ruben Baraja is the best team I've ever seen live) fair enough, he had a hatchet job done on by the media but if you look at his record you'll see the press talk rubbish.blue05 wrote:apart from fergie, the special one and wegner have done not bad either.I think if most football fans were given the choice benitez would not be their firstBaaBaa. wrote:I didn't say he was superior. I think that where Chelsea suffer is in their front line - Torres just isn't doing it and even your magician Benitez is going to struggle there.BaaBaa. wrote:Dunno, it's the 2 mancs and Chelsea nailed on top 3 for me. Word is he's got a degenerative knee problem, Liverpool knew all along and he will literally never be back to his best. Chelsea will probably splash 40 mill on Falcao in January.Dannie Boy wrote:I think that where Chelsea suffer is in their front line - Torres just isn't doing it and even your magician Benitez is going to struggle there.BaaBaa. wrote:Dunno, it's the 2 mancs and Chelsea nailed on top 3 for me.
