When the NI team represented the UK, they had the initials NI rather than GB... Is that the odd one out?

Surely not!

The UK is made up of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, if England, Wales and Scotland wore GB it would be right for Northern Ireland to wear NI. If the GB countries wore UK then Northern Ireland should also have worn UK.

 Correct or not, they may have been the only UK team to have used their own initials!
Let's face it, no other country has ever quite come to terms with how the UK is constituted, and when I try to explain to my students that I am English, British and have a United Kingdom passport, even I get confused...

OK....the narrative answer to 2 is so far:

After WW2 old bignose De Galle thought it might be a good way to improve Franco-German relations if they played silly games like some French villages do. The idea was eventually picked up on by the EU broadcasting service, and so the classic and hilarious JEUX SANS FRONTIERES was born.....which in the UK was called ITS A KNOCKOUT and hosted famously by the gales of laugher prone duo Eddie Waring and Stuart Hall. ..... aaaaaand?

Now....how does that link to Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, who as has been pointed out worked together a lot on various songs?

Aaaand then theres answer 3.....and no it aint NI

keep going ..... nearly there

DM already said that Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush collaborated on Gabriels song Games without Frontiers, and possibly the only words Kate Bush sang was 'Juex Sans Frontiers'.

Is the link 'collaboration'? You know what those Frenchies are like !

yaaay....DM may have mentioned the track but FH scores the goal!

Peter Gabriel recorded GAMES WTHOUT FRONTIERS and Kate Bush sang the backing vocal of Jeux Sans Frontieres which you hear at the end....here is the original poltically incorrect version complete with the "piss on the goons in the jungle" line.

Now.....which one is the odd country out?

and DM finishes the round!

Of the four countries that make up the UK SCOTLAND was the only one to never enter a separate team.

Wales and Northern Ireland both entered their own teams at one time (initials C and NI respectvely) along side England.

Guess the Scots were too drunk to get off the starting line in the big latex suit.

Is the odd one out related to It's a Knockout or to one of the people in the pictures?

#2 is Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), and I think #3 is Ernest Hemmingway.

#4 I I've seen on British TV shows/movies, but no idea who he is.

One thing in common is that they're all authors? Pete
