Only Murders in the Building
TV Series
2021–
TV-MA
IMDb RATING 8.3

ComedyCrimeDramaMysteryThriller

Three strangers who share an obsession with true crime suddenly find themselves caught up in one. IMDB

What's not to like, the comedic talents of good friends Steve Martin and Martin Short combined with the lovely Selena Gomez.

Enjoy stealing from the usuals..

I recently downloaded Asimov's Foundation books to reread after God knows how long. I've just come across this potential gem due for release on 24 September on Apple TV. It stars the excellent Jared Harris (son of Richard). God, I hope it's not a disappointment...

Houdini and Doyle

Doyle as in Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes. One believes in the supernatural, the other is a debunker. Together, they quarrel and solve crimes. Light entertainment, but quite fun (in episode 1 at least). Better than watching Spurs and Europe getting thrashed anyway...

Now then, now then, now then. One to look forward to next year. Steve Coogan to play Jimmy Saville in BBC 1's The Reckoning. This could be his acting masterpiece.

The epic Britannia is due for a third season starting on Aug. 24. Time to dust off that Donovan album ...

Very entertaining, if not the best thing I've ever watched. Some great lines though... end of episode 1: "Shall I be mother?"

Anyone watched Squid Game yet? Bloody marvelous! The South Koreans have produced another deliciously wicked bit of telly. Binged 5 hours of it so far. Reckon I'll probably finish the season before sunrise. Downloadable with subs or dubs in all the usual places.

I haven't but the 16 year old daughter and her friends are really into it here. They have some kind of application where they can all watch it together from different locations, and communicate with each other during the episodes.

I haven't investigated it fully enough to see if it's going to turn them all into serial killers.

It's a great series. Brilliant script. Brilliant set. Brilliant cast. 10/10

The South Koreans will usually put the lame ass shite coming from the western world to shame.

Edit: For real 'disturbing' movies you've got to go French really. :D

8+ hrs later and I've got through Squid Game.

For me, it's easily the best series Netflix has ever had. Fully deserves all the praise. Now time for bed. :D

Just finished season 3. It's a real hoot. There's one scene in episode 8 that's straight out of Monty Python; I kept waiting for someone to say "We are the knights who say 'Ni'!"

Googling the Python connection, I found this review in the Telegraph (not behind a paywall for a change) that sums it all up quite nicely: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/britan ... itain-via/

Yep, finished it yesterday. They must have been stoned when they wrote that last episode!

Also enjoying Warrior, second season is not as raunchy but the Kung Fu scenes are great.

See is currently running season 2. The first one was very good so expect more of the same.

First I've heard of it. Just watched episode 1 of the 1st season, and this is right up my street! Thanks for the heads up. :thumb:
