bubbly: I don't think you read what I just wrote. If you had, maybe you would reply more intelligently.

johnnyk: As I said, I probably will be going back to Thailand soon. I understand as well as anyone that that is the best way to do it, but unluckily I don't have the money at the moment. That's why I'm turning to this forum.

Georgy Porgy: Ok, I'm young so I don't understand... what? How men work? I'm a feminist since years and I know a lot about how men and women are supposed to be like´- and I did read that retarded book. I know my question isn't new, but until it has a good answer people will continue to ask it.

Norseman: Thank you for taking me seriously and giving me proper advice. I have read these forums though, and besides - what I'm actually interested in for my novel is not what I got involved talking about here but completely other things. Thank you anyway.

It's funny, because everyone here seems to be wanting to prove me wrong without me even having an opinion. You don't have to feel provoced, at least I'm not trying to provoce.

Ok, everytime I try to leave this website a thousand windows pop up and I can't get rid of them without turning of the computer. Maybe it's a bug or something, but I won't be visiting anymore.
If anyone has something INTERESTING to say you can look me up in other places. Bye
/Elin

Hi Elinn
I think you have phrased your questions in an extream stereotipical preconceived way that will come across arrogant.
I am not having a go at you but please take my points on board, i am 38, married to a Thai that is 3 months younger than me.
A lot of more mature men may have suffered barevment or devorce, they have worked hard all there life's so why dont they deserve to find someone beautiful too share there life's with. everyone deserve's in my book too be happy.

A lot of Thai girl's look upon being with a westerner as a status thing, a lot of them want to look western, they use skin whiting creams, and get nose jobs done, too make there noses bigger, they believe that the darker you are the more lower class you are.

You can't blame a Thai girl wanting too have some financal stability in there lives they are expected too support there parents and grand parents etc and the girls that work on the bars offen do this through necessity and not choice they would all like too be in a steady relationship and financially secure, remember there is no real wealfare system in Thailand.

Thai girls like to be with western men because Thai men don't treat them very well they offen get married very young through pressure of family have kids, the thai men are offen lazy dont work consistantly get drunk all the time and hit them, thai men think it is perfectly exceptable too have more than one wife or girl friend they call this mai nooi, they get drunk and sleep around. Thai men genrally treat thai women as second class, and not as equals they haven't really grasped the concept of equality.

Talking about stereotypes.
Amazing how many farangs fall for this typical bar girl story.

I agree with Kendo, seen it first hand in numerous relationships, although that is a part of it. A large part, imo, of wanting a foreigner is the financial aspect. Also farang men here stray a lot too (yes, I know not all of you).

I've been used at times, couldn't care less I'm nt perfect

Damn it, you guys! Why did you run her off? We could have had some great fun making up stories for her book! Now you've ruined it.

Sometimes you guys have no sense of humor... except Big Boy of course...
