Giving up trying to get my water pump fixed as the problem clearly isn't simple.

When buying a new one should I buy one of the automatic constant pressure type, without the reservoir, or the standard type?

Good offers on Hitachi at the moment.

I've had both the Hitachi styles and I guess it's down to personal experience. I have the WM-P 280 EX now without reservoir and it's been working great for over a year. It's supposed to maintain constant pressure with two taps open full. It doesn't, but it's close. The Hitachi reservoir type I had (forget #) didn't maintain pressure at all if someone turned on something else.

As mentioned in the other pump post, I have about 5 meters tank to pump, then about 30 meters from pump to upstairs baths. All feeds are strong even at that distance. Be sure to take the water restrictors out of your shower heads though. Pete
