Sam sam is in the Hilton complex of bars a good place with a good pool table and good music. They have comfy seating area where you can be a lazy git if you like. Personally my favourite late night in town bar is Ting Bar thats situated in the same complex at the back of sam sam bar it's 99% Thais and you will not be short of Female company after 2am the place is rocking.
Out of town it's Luk Nam all the way I always find the best Value in there is to either buy a bottle of whiskey for your table or
Take your own bottle in normally you get a 100 Baht corkage and you pay for mixers but as the head of security in there is a mate of mine I don't pay the 100 baht corkage
If you want to party with Thais they are the 2 places to go in my opinion. There aren't many tourists about so for a lively night your better off sticking with Thais.
