Actually I was looking for a ticket for next month and there are not as many bargains around as there was a couple of months ago.
Emirates website has September flights for £490.

I've just booked early December for £560. Image

I understand what you're saying, but even then it is not consistent. In recent years I've achieved the best price going direct to the carrier, and have used:

- British Airways
- Aeroflot
- Eva (not for me personally)
- Finnair

Obviously they can match or better the bucket shop if they want to. I suppose the message here is always compare the Bucket Shop price with the carrier's own web site - who knows, you may get a few free nights out on the savings :D

Jet Airways and Qatar currently offer £359 LHR_BKK return for next 4 months (Netflights)- anyone used Jet ? advertised as 5 star airline but via India.

Unfortunately, not on the dates Mrs BB is flying. It's common practce to advertise flights at a price that has already sold out - just to get you talking. Once they've got you they'll tell you what is actually available.

Khun Big Boy

My apologies for the mistake that was - as you already understood - a typo. No reason for me to call you a wetland type that accumulates acidic peat, a deposit of dead plant material—usually mosses, but also lichens in Arctic climates, is there?

But thanks to this incident which - I must say it again - I sincerely and deeply regret, I learned a new English word.

I will type 2000 times "Mr. Big Boy is NOT a bog" and send it to you as Word document shortly. I promise not to use paste-copy function.

I flew Jet regularly when I was working in India. They were easily the best Indian carrier, but I only ever flew domestic with them. Newish planes and good service.
Flying long haul you will have to transit in India, and their airports are old, not very efficient and the security checks take ages.

If Qatar airlines are the same price I would fly with them as Doha airport is a much more comfortable place to spend your transit time.
