This guy is no tourist. He owns businesses here, besides his international musical career. Wouldn't be the first time a rich/famous guy has been set up. We'll have to wait and see and if it is some kind of scam, I wonder if the papers will report on it so enthusiastically? Pete

Would the bank accounts there be frozen if he didn't return.. or/and convicted? Companies closed down?

I guess that could be threatened, but he also could have paid some huge bail he didn't want to forfeit. Not really many details coming out. Pete

I have no idea about any of it apart from saying something about changing my signature quotes, which was something to do with Pete, I think.
