That's interesting. So it seems as though the Banks in Thailand want to make it easy to bring money into Thailand and want to make it very difficult to take money out of Thailand.

I'm just trying to find a cheaper alternative to Western Union who charge extortionate money to transfer funds.

If it's for your Mrs Randy, why not just open a Nationwide account or a get a Halifax Clarity card and give your Mrs the card?
