Dry cleaners in Hua Hin?
Re: Dry cleaners in Hua Hin?
Thanks for that, Danny. Doesn't answer the question though does it?
I can't find an answer on google but there's bound to be some bright spark here that can explain.

The title actually originated around 400 years ago in ancient Greece. At this time, the Mycenaean population began using dry products to get stains out of their clothing and garments. Throughout the years the techniques involved in removing stains have advanced greatly, but the "dry cleaning" name has not been replaced. Dry cleaning services now include much more than simple stain removal, and help maintain the high quality associated with most garments today.
One reason that current techniques could be considered dry is that there is no water used. The only water that comes in contact with clothes during dry cleaning is the steam used when dry cleaners remove stains. And the water from the steam is completely removed before the dry cleaning process begins. Dry cleaning solvents are never mixed with water.

I can sort of understand the logic. 'Without water' must mean 'dry'!! Shows what sad people we are (my daughter's words) when we debate such trivialities. Don't care! Enquiring minds we have which the next generation lacks!!
Re: DRY CLEANERS
I stopped in there earlier this week and they said dry cleaning was seven-day turnaround service. When I asked why so long, she said it was because they sent it out to Petchaburi. (I quietly thought to myself: "So...?") Price was okay: B100 for a pair of men's trousers, but one week service?Dr Mike wrote:I had trouble finding one when I came. I searched the forum for cleaners. All I found were letters saying--My wife took me to the cleaners. Not much help.
At the main traffic lights. On the SE side by the Municipal building, walk south as if going to Market Village. About the third shop on the right is a dry cleaners . Good, usually 48hr service and reasonable price.

I have used the dry cleaning shop at the corner of Soi 80/Petch regularly and always only had a 2 day turnaround.

Corner of Soi 80 & Petchkasem Road? Do you mean one a few doors down from the 7-11, called Big Boom? I didn't realize they did dry cleaning!
The closest on to that location I knew of was a bit farther north, on the opposite side of the street, facing the Citin Loft hotel and the empty field in front of it:

Don't know the name of the place, but if one is stood on Petch facing Soi 80 the shop is to your left.

That would be "Big Boom." And, I noticed yesterday they do have a big "Dry Cleaning" lettering on their window. Don't know how I've missed that. I walk by there at least 5 times a week...

Dry Cleaners
Anyone know where there is a dry cleaners, I have seen many hotels offer dry cleaning but I can't find a business that does it.

Check the places that sell suits in Hua Hin, or are their suits hand dry styles?
I have seen the little steam wand machines that may steam out the winkles,
but of course the sweat, or should I say perspiration would still be in the clothes.
I am like HHFarang, I leave my dry cleaning clothes back in the Frigid ,Frozen
country I come from.

I recently used the dry cleaners on Phetch at Soi 80, 300Baht for one suit and an extra pair of trousers, ready in 2 days. Can't complain about that
