Can you pay 5000Baht for a multiple entry O-A? If so, do you still have to get a "Re-entry Permit?" Or does the "Multiple Entry O-A" take care of this. I plan to come and go a lot and would prefer not to have to get a Re-entry permit on each exit as this would appear to be more costly.
Thanks,
David

To SunandFun,
With the OA multi-entry, you don't need re-entry permits for the first year (the visa's validity). If you exit Thailand just before the visa itself expires, you'll get another year's permitted to stay stamp on re-entering therefore making the visa work for almost 2 years. If you leave in the second year, you will need re-entry permits as the visa will have expired. On re-entry, you'll be stamped in until the date given when you made the run to get the second year. You don't actually gain any more time going out and in in the second year but the re-entry permit keeps that second year's permitted to stay stamp alive. Single re-entry permit 1,000 THB. Multiple 3,800. Not a bad deal really as you're getting two years on the visa.

moose 961,
I reckon, almost definitely, that you'll be getting a multi-entry Non O. Visa will be valid for a year from date of issuance. You get 90 days permitted to stay on entry here. You will have to exit Thailand every 90 days. Only a day's journey down to Ranong and over to Burma. Pretty straightforward. Reporting won't come into it as said before.
When you're ready, best to extend annually at Imm here. Then you will only need to report every 90 days. No need to exit Thailand.

EDIT Just looked at the Hull consulate visa fee page and it's 125 GBP for multi-entry Non O, that's around 6,000 THB. Your 400 USD looks expensive, but you mentioned an agent before. Maybe they're fleecing you a bit?
