Second, third and forth that. Have never done it in decades and no plan to. Never questioned, anywhere, in any circumstances. Just ignore the whole issue. Pete

I wonder if the address you put on the TM.6 when you arrive Thailand would satisfy the requirement to report within 24 hours? That would assume, of course, you put the Hua Hin address. If you stayed elsewhere between your arrival in Thailand and your arrival in Hua Hin, then perhaps *technically* you are required to report your presence to Hua Hin Immigrations?

Back to the thread topic, I did a 90-day report this past week and was surprised that the Immigrations Officer processing my report had to hand it off to a senior officer who sits at the desks in the middle of that area. All my previous reports have been handled totally by the officer to whom I present my passport and form.

I have just returned from overseas, before I arriving I had my wife check requirments with immigration and she was advised I should go to immigration when I have time, she questioned the 24 hours rule and was advised it was not a problem as they understand Farangs do not always come directly to Hua Hin on return.

I went 5 dazs after returning and no issue at all. The staff at Immigration are very helpful.

Yes but what did they say to you?

What did they do?

Did they ask if they could help you spend a few thousand?

It would have been much more helpful if they had told you not to bother going in the first place. I know several people who have not been until 90 days after their return and not one has had a problem or even a remark from Immigration.

If you show any Thai authority a hoop and ask if they'd like you to jump through it, they will say yes, even if you have provided the hoop yourself.
This is the way

When I asked they said 'up to you'. No real concern as no money in it

The immigration staff asked for nothing and as usual with me were extremely helpfull amd curtious, in the early days they were not so.
My thoughts are always to comply with the rules like them or not, it doesn't cost anything except a little time

when I moved here from KK last year I reported my new address at HH Imm. They said "Thank you,we will staple the relevant Form in your passport. No need for any tea money as there are enough idiots around who overstay" :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
