Yes, the Thai passport she renewed while she was here in Thailand.
Ah yes missed that part, sorry!

But why on earth did she show her Swedish passport when she left?
The only reason I can think of would be if she was worried about staying away until her passport expired again, and then being faced with a problem showing her Sweedish passport on entry again. But that sounds a little far fetched!
Hmmm - if she had entered on the expired Thai passport - then exited on the Swedish one - wouldn't she have been required to have an exit visa from the Swedish Embassy? I could see it getting a bit messy, although I would have thought it would be quite simple to transfer her entry stamp partics from the old passport to the Swedish one. Maybe she 'just forget'.
The Swedish Embassy? But she's Swedish. Or do you mean the Thai Embassy in Sweden?
But she entered Thailand on her Swedish passport because her Thai passport had expired, renewed her Thai passport while here, then apparently presented her Swedish passport when she left, although technically she had 'overstayed'.
She obviously guessed rather than check the correct protocol. As I said earlier, she should have entered Thailand with her expired Thai passport. When she didn't, the problems started stacking up. A quick phone call to the Thai Embassy in Sweden would have sorted it for her - they might even have issued a Certificate of Identity as they did for my son.

Or, " I am a Thai and know it all, and so I can do what I like in Thailand".
If she travels on a foreign passport, then Immigration will treat her as a foreigner.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
