Hilarious really. Manchester City are playing at the Bernabeau, it wasn't long ago Liverpool smashed Real 6 nil on aggregate.

Not a beautiful victory for us in France but three points is a good way to start the group stage.
Champions League? Never heard of it.
Sour grapes? Then on the other hand it wasn't long ago Arsenal won three league titles on a row ( I think it was when Herbert Chapman was our manager.) It all depends whether we want to look at history or present day. What I thought was hilarious was the Special One getting on his knees again.Hilarious really. Slightly sour grapes Manchester City are now seen as one of Europe's elite yes, let's be honest, it could've been Stoke.Bamboo Grove wrote:BaaBaa. wrote

And Mourinho isn't that special, Benitez beat him every other week .

Beat him more often than not though didn't he .caller wrote:He hasn't beat him for a few years now!
Special One my arse, Benitez is a tactically superior manager.
Mourinho is a great manager but alot of it is bluster, he's no better than Benitez.
Benitez managed to win La Liga twice and The Champions League without the most expensive squads on earth.

Just a guess really.........

Re: Champions League 2012-13
He won us a European cup. We beat all the best teams in Europe. We beat Inter, AC, Barca and Real under him. In 10 days we beat Real 4-0,Villa 5-0 and United 4-1 so yeah, I'm kind of fond of the guy.
Re: Champions League 2012-13
He also outed our owners when we were going into administration.
