Back to Blighty after 4 years
Re: Back to Blighty after 4 years
Although I'm a lot closer to my own country (Singapore), I've been away for 24 years (meaning lived full-time in Thailand) with only a sporadic visit once every year or so. Looking at how the place has changed (Or is it me?) I can't (won't) go back as I'll fit in like a square peg in a round hole. I'm with Terry, Takiap and Mr. Plum among others who seem to have found that where we're at now is the place in the sun. I'm not leaving, either. For all it's idiosynacracies, this is home.

Thought whilst I was there I'd buy a couple of beasts of burden
My daughters went for a scrapyard piece
So I went up market a bit. This model is Klong proof too

RICHARD OF LOXLEY
It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

So it was you putting your paws all over my motor! You should have let me know you'd be in my neck of the woods (when not in my Country pile)!

Talk is cheap

I think the real owner asked Richard to pose. Never seen an ageing backpacker before.
