HHfarang makes a good point although not exactely accurate
I also know foreigners who have gone to court for years and finally been awarded a settlement from the judge, but there is no enforcement.
When awarded the settlement by the court it then becomes encumbant for the plaintif to find the assets and return to the court for the enforcement by auction
hence quote me
I then told the lawyer a good sum of money would be paid to whoever could find her assets when my wife got her money back
Obviously if they have NO assets or have hidden them well it cannot be enforced blood cometh not from stone
Luckily for us our lawyer was able to find her assets (a good private detective could make a good living around here)
If it happened again to myself i would get her assets found as quickly as possible and preferably before starting legal action (this could also prove she has hidden or disposed of assets to thwart the court that means jail time)

Quote Don
My own experience, i.e. Farang man and Farang wife, went to court against a Thai woman and we won! I would have to say that we were treated very fairly, and I could not fault the Thai court system.
the point i was trying to make

I understand that there are many stories out there of farangs feeling they did not get justice but just how strong was their case
A bit like nasty thai bargirl/wife rips of farangs house but farang omits to tell he was screwing around and drunk all day every day

Edited to add the bitch in our case obviously believed we would give in because she believed the myth we did not SHE WAS WRONG AND SHE LOST
A Greatfull Guest of Thailand
