A couple of questions for the ballon man out of interest
1. What's the highest wind speed you will fly and does that apply to gusts or mean speed.
2. How offen will you be doing a rope examination.

The highest wind I will fly with passengers - 5 m/sek - (we can fly w. 1 passenger in 7 m/s accordings with manual) but practically - 3 m/s (4 w. gusts) is too enouth.
The rope examination is taken in order of guarrantee once in a year, if daily inspection finds no damage, and critical overload doesn't take place.

Also I would recommend an add on this portal I know a lot of business owners on here and this does generate business.

At 100 metres a parachute won't help much :D

Some people just don't have a sense of humor. Sad.

So it is a restaurant with a balloon. What about the food, has anyone tried that aspect of it?

Speaking of which, do you have to report to immigration when you land?

I've just told Mrs D-M about this.
"Oh really? Where does it go?"
"Up 100 metres, then down again."
"Why?"
"So you can see the view."
I think I can still hear her laughing in the garden.
She forgot to ask the price, but I won't tell her - it'll only set her off again.

Part of me applauds someone for trying something new, but a much bigger part suggests this is probably not what people have been waiting for.

Kendo was right, Mr Balloon; you should advertise on this forum. It's very cheap, there are a lot of readers, and most of us try not to make fun of sponsors.

Oh, and I'd avoid phrases like "critical overload"!

My reply was also in a sense of humor
It appears that it’s you that don’t have a sense of humor. I agree it’s sad

You might be right, but that does not nessesarily mean that the business idea is bad.
I am quite sure that their business do not not rely on passengers.
I believe that balloon sponsors is a major part of of the revenue. Actually I would guess that this part alone can pay all the fixed expences - and it will be a fixed monthly income.
For somebody that likes to fly balloons, it must be a dream come true to be able to make a living of his hobby and beeing able to relocate to a country like Thailand.
Mr. Balloon, I wish you good luck on the project. I think the concept you have is great. :thumb:

Not a bad business idea that won't get copied to quickly, that's half the battle in Hua Hin.

Ballon man you could also offer " not quite the mile high club" now that would be something !

Kendo.

There is something similar in a park near me. Friends took us over.

Here it was free in a county park, you got in, it rose, everyone got a nice view, and down.

Nice, but no repeat.

Went on a real balloon ride earlier this year, one hour floating around (with champagne, cheese and crackers). Beautiful views and lots of fun. Originated in a winery near us so after the ride.........

Good Luck balloon man, I'm sure there will be many to try, as they should!
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

Interesting point that applies to the forum as well. Not too many free rides on the balloon, I guess...
