Thank you - I'll let my friend know.
However, I've checked Google, and it says:
However, I've checked Google, and it says:
Store-Bought Sourdough Bread Is Not Safe on the Gluten-Free Diet. Sourdough bread made from one of the three gluten grains (wheat, barley, or rye) is not gluten-free, and therefore is likely to make you sick if you have celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity.

Well, I've now seen what happens first hand.Big Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 9:39 pmMy friend was delayed by a medical problem, but has arrived at last, today.oakdale160 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 8:55 am Number one question--Does your friend feel better in any way now that he is on a gluten-free diet?? If so stick with it.
I asked what difference his gluten free diet made, and he said the difference is, if he consumes gluten, he feels very rough, and brings his food up again within the hour.

My friend went to a highly acclaimed Hua Hin Restaurant who claim to do Gluten Free food yesterday. He showed them his card, and they confirmed it was not a problem. 40 minutes later..........................
I can only guess that despite trying their best, the food had become contaminated. It knocked my friend silly for about 30 minutes, and then he was fine again. That is one place he will avoid in future.

I have seem a real celiac patient have a reaction, it is terrible to watch. The cramping is horrible. I hope that the reaction that you witnessed is not repeated. Just a sauce thickened with flour can prompt an attack. it is not deliberate by the cooks but is just another example of how Thai people are very poorly organised, undisciplined and inexact.
