Just ask me. I know everything.
It's 8am and Guns and Roses are still blaring away, I've not been to sleep yet and you know it makes sense!!!
Don't listen to a word I say.
There, thats' proper expats advice. Now where is my bed?
May be In did not explain very well what I was trying to get across to you. In know way was I insinuating that you were a "only been here for four weeks of your entire life" tourist.
Your question was a perfectly valid one that I asked myself seven years a go.
As has been said already is that this site does fill in the gaps between the Tourist Infortion Centres (all commercial operwations) and the usuall out of date guide books.
What I was trying to warn you of though, is there are sometimes people who will give you bad advice based on their very limited experience based on the one off trip to Thailand.
The advice on selecting the forum will lessen that chance as the experienced users and expats will tend to get on that one. Thes are the people who will have the best knowledge regarding getting araound Thailand.
I agree with an earlier poster though that if you are in Hua Hin and wish to go somewhere the first place to try in the place next to the shed.

With the possible exception of where to buy a portable walrus polishing kit or the schedule of the Bolivian navy's manoevers in the south pacific.
Strangly enough I have one of those kits. Only one owner low usage only about a dozen walrusses( or should that be walri ?) have been through it and is in excellent condition. If anyone would like to buy it I'm sure we can reach an agreement. Should this post be in the classifieds ??
On a more serious note yes just ask away and you will get the information you need no problem.
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
I got back from LOS last Sunday, whilst in HH I asked two questions on the expat forum about a car wash and getting some Thai documents translated into English. I got excellent advice on both straight away. Found the car wash - surprised I had never noticed it before, as I had previously stayed in the Hotel behind it - and saved some money by getting the docs translated in Bkk rather thaan locally.
Guess, and co. thanks for the replies. I think maybee a drop in point was wishfull thinking. like many others I've asked for and recieved good advice on the site and I'm appreciative to the max.
In coming to HH Ive been lucky to find some realy genuine people who will offer sound advice, the trouble is catching them sober enough to understand the answer.
raphoe, dont give up all hope, the place next to The Shed is slowly coming together and should be operating by next week. Goanna's is going, but the Information Hub will be open 24 hrs a day. Then there's always the option of calling into any bar with a farang owner, we're always happy to tell you all about everything, including all the things you never thought you didn't need to know. ( BTW Bolivia starts manoevers........better drop in and see me, it may be safer!!! )
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.
