I don't know, I haven't read about it, and I haven't physically gone down the channel scale to the free section yet. I'll check later on.

No sense checking now as everything over for the day in Paris. No sign of any replays like they have on the above listed channels. Probably free to air is LIVE only. I'll have to check again tonight when the action restarts to see which free channels have it.

Oh it's certainly on tonight (19:30 CEST/18:30 BST), so I guess 00:30 tomorrow morning HH/Thai - though I believe things will begin a fair bit before the "Main Event".

Coverage here is on the BBC etc., so will obviously be available on iPlayer both Live and recorded if you can get a reliable link. It's also apparently going to be available Live on YouTube: -

"Paris Extra 1 and Paris Extra 2 will be 24/7 during the Olympics, and are available on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, NBC app, NBC Sports app, Comcast, Cox, DirecTV/DirecTV Stream, Dish/Sling, Fubo, Hulu Live, Verizon, YouTube TV and select select satellite networks."

Did find this link for CNN-News18 which seems to be showing it: -

Have to say I'm quite looking forward to it with much being held on the Seine and in and around major landmarks rather than in a National Stadium.

I've decided this will be the final test for my new VPN. It will be a popular event, so a lot of pressure through the VPN.

I just need to hope I wake up in time.

Free channel here looks like PPTV Channel 36. Live coverage appears to be from 0230 to 0400 only? All in Thai language.

Thank you - I'd have put money on it being them. An excellent sports channel, and where I watched most of the Euros. The Euros was broadcast in English though.

Maybe it will be English, or French? I was just guessing as the highlights that were on when I found the channel were in Thai.

There may well be a few not getting there!!

French train network hit by 'massive attack' ahead of Paris Olympics opening ceremony, rail company says..

"French rail company SNCF says its high-speed network has been targeted by "malicious acts" aimed at paralysing the system.

It comes hours before the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympic Games.

Several high-speed TGV lines have been hit to the west, north and east of Paris and queues have formed at Gare Montparnasse station in the city.

A number of trains have been cancelled and SNCF has warned that the situation could last "at least all weekend while repairs are conducted".

SNCF says it’s been a victim overnight of a "massive attack aimed at paralysing the network”.

Fires were started at three points on TGV lines running west, north and east of Paris.

A fourth arson attack on the line running south to Lyon and the Mediterranean was foiled.

The result is that TGV trains are being diverted onto other lines, leading to delays of up to two hours and some cancellations.

Repairs will not be completed until after the weekend.

No claim of responsibility has been made but it is hard not to see a link with the Olympic Games.

This was always going to be a very busy day in Paris stations, with visitors arriving for the opening ceremony in one direction, and in the other many Parisians leaving at the start of their summer holiday."
